Upamecano, Munich's No. 1 center back, says he'll "never leave in the summer" despite falling to No. 4

Center back Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich), who has been pushed out of position alongside 'monster' Kim Min-jae, has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving in the summer. "Do I have any plans to leave Munich in the summer? Absolutely not," Upamecano told German soccer publication Kicker on Wednesday, dismissing transfer speculation. Classified as the first-choice center back before the 2023-2024 season, France international Upamecano has formed a first-choice center back duo with new signing Kim Min-Jae since the start of the season. Dutch international Matthijs de Ligt was relegated to the third option behind Upamecano and Kim Min-jae. There were rumors that De Ligt was unhappy with his position. However, two sending-offs and a string of injuries to the lineup slowly eroded Upamecano's position. The arrival of Tottenham signing Eric Dier in January also hit Upamecano's position hard. Munich coach Thomas Tuchel has begun to play the duo up front

"Referee was caught out by Tottenham protests" vs "ugly, horrible tackle" blame Aston Villa captain John McGinn, 30, has been sent off for a 'murderous tackle'. However, teammate Ollie Watkins, 29, criticized the referee and defended the captain. Tottenham defeated Aston Villa 4-0 in the 28th round of the 2023-2024 Premier League (PL) season at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on Tuesday (Jan. 10). After John McGinn was sent off in the 20th minute, Tottenham scored two goals in the second half to put the game away. With the win, Tottenham secured a six-point cushion in the race for fourth place. There are now just two points between fifth-place Spurs (53 points) and fourth-place Villa (55 points), who have played one more game. For Spurs, it was a valuable win that boosts their hopes of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League (UCL). There was a dizzying moment. In the 20th minute, McGinn kicked Destiny Udogie hard on the leg as she broke qu

'Light' Hyun-woo, who "almost cried" after preventing a catastrophe, "My heart is heavy, but I will go further"

"My heart is heavy, but I will not stop here and will continue to work hard." After filling in perfectly in the absence of star goalkeeper Kim Seung-kyu (Al-Shabab), Cho Hyun-woo (Ulsan HD) expressed his disappointment at South Korea's exit from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup quarterfinals. Jürgen Klinsmann's men fell short of the final after losing 0-2 to Jordan in the semifinals on Sunday night at 12:00 p.m. KST. They had their sights set on their first title in 64 years, but were thwarted by the 'Boks'. It's disappointing. This is especially true for Cho Hyun-woo, who has been the goalkeeper since Kim Seung-gyu returned home early with an ACL injury. He saved a thrilling penalty shootout in the round of 16 against Saudi Arabia and a super-save in the quarterfinals against Australia to give his team a dramatic victory. His performance continued in the quarterfinals. Despite being caught off guard by Jordan's quick counter-attack,

SSG U.S. Spring Camp New Vitality... Military trio "Make it an All-Han Leap Year"

SSG manager Lee Sung-yong, who "transitioned" from a professional baseball manager to a manager, emphasizes unity, which is why the spring training camp in Vero Beach, Florida, USA, is often characterized by a friendly atmosphere. In particular, infielders Kim Chang-pyeong (24) and Kim Seong-min (23) and pitcher Cho Byung-heon (22) are considered to be the lifeblood of SSG's spring camp. What they all have in common is that they are returnees who returned from military service last year. Spring camp is a stage of fierce competition for survival. "We will definitely survive the competition," the trio said. Kim was considered a highly touted infield resource in high school, where he was the starting shortstop for the youth national team. But the barrier to the professional ranks was high. After joining the organization in 2019, Kim played primarily at second base for two years and posted a dismal .187 batting average. He played two more seasons, but in three sea
