Using social media to educate children about facial differences

This morning I endured a difficult situation with children and their parent – it was due to fear of my face. I wrote about it here. And many people relate.  One of the things that has made a huge difference to me meeting children is when their parents introduce me to them via social media.  I love it when I meet a friend’s child and they have already seen me. They’re already used to me face. My friend may have shown their child my photos and videos on social media. Their children know who I am, they aren’t scared, and see me as a friend already. It’s been joyous to meet children who are prepared for me. (Sometimes I get sent lovely comments from kids via their parents on social media – complimenting me on my dress or smile, and even on my “pink sparkly skin”. This makes my day!) I love that we can all just get on with our day – without embarrassment, difficult questions or outright fear. (All of which makes for a very difficult meeting.) What’s The Best Way To Remove Dark Lipstick?

A dark, dramatic lipstick can bring the inner diva out in all of us. It’s all very well to slick on a deep red, brown, purple, or even black, but the fun stops when it’s time to remove it! If it’s a matte liquid lippie then the risk of mess is even greater. Lucky for us, there are methods!  Use a heavy-duty makeup remover You may be thinking “OBVIOUSLY!”, but it pays to be thorough, right? An oil-based makeup remover designed for waterproof mascara is ideal for dark, matte lipsticks. Soak a cotton round, press it onto your lips, hold for a few seconds, then gently wipe away.  Tip:  wipe the makeup off toward the center of the lips instead of outward to avoid looking like you’ve just been making out for three hours straight.  Use oil  If there are no makeup removers or scrubs in sight, head to the kitchen. Food-grade coconut oil, olive oil, or avocado oil will break down any lipstick…and soften your lips at the same time. Use a lip scrub or a dedicated lipstick remover  Once the bulk

Holiday Season by Santa Monica Electrician

It is always best to bring the electrician in at the very beginning of a restoration project. This allows the professional to provide valuable insight and input as to where the wiring needs to be as well as the best type of materials to use for a commercial project. Bringing in the certified professional early on also makes the scheduling of the project much easier. You won’t have to worry about down days or redoing certain areas because the wiring wasn’t put in first. The construction team needs to work together and that means everyone needs to be involved from the get go. The planning phase is an excellent time to discuss all of the commercial lighting options and various upgrades that can be put in place throughout the building. It is important these are thought about beforehand to make sure the project runs smoothly. Projects that are delayed or run into various hiccups can cost more money and end up pushing back opening dates. Give The Electric Connection a call today and talk

This creates the gloomy prospect of persistent inflation forcing central banks to hike rates despite sharply slowing growth." Chinese trade data for April were not quite as bad as feared, with exports up 3.9% on the year and imports flat. However, there was no let-up in China's zero-COVID policy with Shanghai tightening the city-wide COVID lockdown for 25 million residents. Speculation that Russian President Vladimir Putin might declare war on Ukraine in order to call up reserves during his speech at "Victory Day" celebrations also hurt market sentiment. Putin has so far characterised Russia's actions in Ukraine as a "special military operation", not a war S&P 500 stock futures led the way with a drop of 1.1%, while Nasdaq futures shed 1.0%.
